SuperSkank were formed in the summer of 2000 after much drinking, smoking and listening to every conceivable style of ska music known to man. The original lineup consisted of the drummer Mat, the keyboard and sax player Hugo, the bassist Lippy, Rob P on the trumpet, Vocal MC Rob and guitarist Chris.

The band practiced on a regular basis in an old pig shed and began writing the beginnings of a long set of original songs taking their inspiration from roots and two tone ska with a Clash like punk element thrown in to compete with the new U.S Ska/Punk bands. Over time the band lineup increased to accommodate a new improved guitarist and 2 trumpet players to complete the big band sound.

Superskank have played a number of gigs with rave reviews in the press.
We will soon be releasing a demo cd with 3 of their finest tunes plus a junglist remix of one of the tunes. The cd is now available to buy on the website and available to purchase at any of their upcoming gigs.

The Band Lineup

	Mat is one of the founder members of SuperSkank and plays the drums. He has played in many bands and played many different styles from Punk through to Indie through to Thrash Metal. Mats speciality is to inflict pain on himself either by poking himself in the eye with a drumstick or setting fire to himself whilst welding underneath a vw camper.
	Hugo was also one of the founder members of SuperSkank and plays both sax and keyboard. Hugo is also a big reggae and ska fan and excels with his now chosen instrument the piano and hammond organ. Hugo is famous round these parts for his amazing beard. Sadly Hugo is no longer a member of Superskank and is pursuing a career as travelling Bum.
	Rob P turned up at the first 'practice' with his trumpet and keeps hanging around. No one really knows who he is or where he came from but he makes the tea so we let him stay. His speciality is giving and receiving dead-legs.
	Rob D joined the band shortly after formation, due to some gentle dead-leg persuasion. Front man and dancer, when he cant think of anything to say or forgets the words you'll find him moshing with the crowd. Rob has also left the band to continue with his other project No Set Sound!
	Rash joined early 2001 bringing his natural fingering talent..... to the guitar! Formerly of Tunk where he played bass, he also moonlights as a drummer in Lung Cage. His real name's a secret.
	Lippy has played the bass from day 1 in a stompy skanky ska style. He can often be heard from a mile away blaring Superskank tunes from his shiny red sierra throu' the lanes of Cornwall. Lippy's real name is no secret.
	Noddy has been playing the trumpet in the band for about a year. The second trumpet tops off the 4 piece brass section nicely. Noddy has recently been converted to the Jack Daniels religion. Only he knows his real name.
